Simple DIY Engagement Invites

First get your supplies.

Supplies

  • Blank on the inside greeting cards
  • Double stick tape
  • Scissors
  • Cloth ribbon
  • Copies of your engagement invite on paper
Step 1.

I made a document my engagement invite. I made 4 on each sheet.

We would be pleased to have
you join us
for a party announcing our
engagement
on Saturday, the fourteenth of August
at one o'clock in the afternoon
in
Davis, CA

Step 2.

After printing the amount needed cut out each invite into squares leaving no blank border.

Step 3.

Using the double stick tape tape the cute out square into the inside of the card.



Step 4.

Make a bow using the cloth ribbon. Make sure to make the bow before cutting it off the spool to save ribbon. You can also use the ribbon to make a border. Pretty much any kind of embellishment you want. I made a bow.



Step 5.

Cut the bow off the spool. Using the double stick tape place a strip on the back of the bow. Place the bow on the top of the taped invite square and press firmly.




I signed the bottom of mine with Love, Jackki and Derek to add a personal touch. Now you have a simple but cute invite. You can embellish with confetti, glitter scrapbook borders pretty much what you want. This is a fun way to make invites for y our engagement party.
