Step 2.

After printing the amount needed cut out each invite into squares leaving no blank border.

Step 3.

Using the double stick tape tape the cute out square into the inside of the card.

Step 4.

Make a bow using the cloth ribbon. Make sure to make the bow before cutting it off the spool to save ribbon. You can also use the ribbon to make a border. Pretty much any kind of embellishment you want. I made a bow.

Step 5.

Cut the bow off the spool. Using the double stick tape place a strip on the back of the bow. Place the bow on the top of the taped invite square and press firmly.

I signed the bottom of mine with Love, Jackki and Derek to add a personal touch. Now you have a simple but cute invite. You can embellish with confetti, glitter scrapbook borders pretty much what you want. This is a fun way to make invites for y our engagement party.

Wedding Cantina

Today we went to the park that we were going to have the ceremony and reception. We realized that were were a lot of tables that would not be used for dinner seating. After a little thinking I came up with a great idea. One of the tables in the corner we were going to use for the bar and beverage area.

I thought it would be cool to set up some of the tables as a "Wedding Cantina" It gives people that don't dance a little lounge area and also a fun atmosphere for the beverage area.

We are going to set up some snack bowl with pretzels and peanuts and make it look like a little cantina. Some streamers and a "Wedding Cantina" sign (that can be made from poster board) will set the mood and festive table cloths as well.

I would highly suggest a lounge type area for people that don't dance.

I'm BACK!

So I am practically moved into my new place which is amazing. doesn't matter that we had to move anything up 4 flights of stairs!

Well you obviously are not here to read my rants on moving.

I was talking with one of my bridesmaids Marie and realized that my engagement party is a little over 3 months away! Since the rule is to send invites out 6-8 weeks prior I am well overdue to make these invites.

The first thing I knew I wanted to do for both the engagement party and wedding was online RSVP. This is a way for us to save on postage and also on paper.

I decided to set up a website for the engagement party. This way people can RSVP, get directions, find hotels to stay at and get a little info on the whole event.

I am obsessed with Google anything so I took advantage of their Google Sites. It made it sooo easy.
